Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Real-time updates includes text commentary of Sunday's games via various channels, beginning with the Broncos-Jets clash at Tottenham (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Also, radio commentary is available on select stations covering another key matchup (beginning at 9 PM BST).

It's week six in the football calendar , following recent talk regarding the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles being possible championship contenders, they both surrendered their perfect starts.

Notable during those contests was the amount of penalties each conceded. The Eagles committed them at crucial times so they essentially beat themselves having led 17-3 going into the final quarter versus Denver, who play in London this Sunday.

But it proved good to see that Denver quarterback Bo Nix managed to have the shortfall and then lead three scoring drives on three possessions during the final period, securing the game 21-17.

The Broncos have the defensive player of the year in cornerback Pat Surtain II. They rank number one in goal-line defense, while Philadelphia are number one in red zone offence, and Denver won that battle.

They executed the Eagles' number in terms of disguised blitzes. They weren't always sending more than four defenders instead they might position two linebackers in the 'A' gap then drop them out and send a nickel off the edge.

At the start of the season, it was noted on a program how Denver could be the current year's dark horses. They ended last season well then excelled in continuing that momentum.

Could Denver be this year's dark horses?

Recently acquired TE their tight end has excelled significantly and recent RB JK Dobbins is a guy they believe in. He's currently 5th league-wide in ground gains (402) as well as tied for fourth in rushing scores (four).

It's impressive how head coach the Broncos' leader has "RUN IT!" at the top on his call sheet.

That shows how Denver are a squad aiming to run first, because you can achieve much based on that approach. It slows opposing rushes and maintains in positive situations.

This has helped QB Bo Nix, who entered into the league as the 12th overall draft pick in the prior draft, passing for 29 touchdown passes – just behind a star QB in rookie records (31 back in 2020).

Josh Allen and Herbert have the arm strength to pass anywhere, however they lack in the same way as Nix. He has exceptional passing ability, a unique trait, and he's highly agile.

His strengths include his movement, being able to throw while moving, and finding different arm angles to deliver throws when he rolls out of the pocket, the bootlegs. He is able to deliver precision throws over the middle or over the corner.

For a young quarterback, at 25, he displays a lot of poise in the pocket and is not bothered by the blitz. He tries to avoid being tackled as much as possible and can throw in tight spots. He possesses sharp intelligence and is quick to decide.

When you constantly rush it consumes time and forces the defence to stay on the field for longer, and if you've got an athletic quarterback the defence must defend the area downfield and horizontally. It can be exhausting.

The quarterback has pushed back with the coach during games sometimes and it seems the coach appreciates that fire, that he's a fierce rival. In my view it's fun for him to coach a rookie QB who's similar to moldable clay. He can really develop him how he wants to shape him. I believe it's a unique opportunity for him.

Payton owns a Super Bowl and has passed Bill Parcells in all-time victories (173, tying for 14th). He has witnessed it all. I think the achievements the Broncos are having on offence is mostly due to his guidance, his schemes, his situational awareness – and the combination with Nix aids make him into who he is.

There's no better a better guy in your ear, to assist you through some of the tougher situations and build confidence.

I have faith in Denver's defence, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. Yet is the team strong enough to face an elite team at full strength? Because that was not championship-level play by the Eagles last Sunday.

Right now, it's unlikely the Broncos are elite. They're working better than most, which is a good place to hold the AFC West. The key is to continue this trajectory.

They excel at embracing their strength, which is the ground game, and this is exactly what they should do against the New York Jets in London. It's going to be the JK Dobbins show, essentially.

New York have surrendered 140 rushing yards each contest (sixth worst), five ground scores so far (10th worst), and they are the only team yet to win a game.

Ever since the league started recording turnovers decades ago, this team are also the inaugural squad to go without a single takeaway in five outings, which is surprising considering that their new coach was previously a defensive coach at the Detroit Lions.

The Chiefs' QB says the Chiefs have 'already lost too many games' following a recent loss by the Jaguars.

Following this Sunday's game, the Broncos have a manageable slate up to their break (in week 12) - the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, the Texans plus Las Vegas Raiders before the Kansas City Chiefs.

In the AFC West, Kansas City hold a losing record and the Broncos are even with the Los Angeles Chargers at 3-2 meaning they could challenge at leading the division.

This hinges on which form of the Chiefs they meet because Denver {beat|def
