Learning From Previous Shortcomings

"It's likely that we would find it impossible to build and design this new game lacking the learnings we gained in Battlefield 2042," the manager shares with the press.

One of those takeaways was to engage fans involved soon, and the developers started invite-only community testing sessions not long ago.

The "feedback was extremely positive," states the manager.

Another omitted element from Battlefield 2042 was a solo experience, which has been brought back this time around.

Criterion creative lead Fasahat "Fas" Salim is the individual tasked with "making sure those stages are as entertaining and interesting as possible for the players."

Regardless of allegations that the scope of the project had created pressure for the various teams collaborating internationally to build the project, Fas is positive about the process.

"Working with varied cultures, different experiences, it's a very fascinating environment to be engaged with daily," he shares.

"This whole method has been a fresh take but also very thrilling because we are collaborating with team members from internationally."

Concerning the expectation on the developers, Fas comments: "We experience stress but at the same time it's thrilling.

"This is a major undertaking. It's arguably the largest that most of us have before worked on."
