I'll dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really proceeding.
