Barça to Host Historic Game at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend

Barça revealed their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host the Bilbao team in La Liga over two years since relocating so building work could begin.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity though over 45,000 attendees can be present as per the current authorization. When completed, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.

Stadium Testing

Barça organized a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou in early November. Officials stated approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body to host the next European match versus the German side next month in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
